Sergeant Kenneth Christian

Kenneth Christian has lived in Louisville, KY since the age of four. Raised in Jeffersontown and a graduate of Jeffersontown High School, he then attended Jefferson Community College.

Kenneth was hired with the Jefferson County Police Department in 1994 serving as a police cadet until attending the basic recruit academy in 1995. He then served in Charlie District in 1996 after completing training. Kenneth served in Charlie District as a patrol and bike officer, and later as a Traffic officer. After merger, Kenneth worked in the 6th Division as a Traffic officer until joining the Traffic Unit in 2011. Kenneth served on a variety of teams, boards, the Honor Guard Unit and also as an instructor teaching collision for patrol to new recruits at the training unit. While in the Traffic Unit, Kenneth was also a collision reconstructionist and DOT certified officer. Kenneth retired from LMPD in 2016.

After retirement, Kenneth joined the Indiana University Police Department at the Southeast Campus in New Albany, IN in 2017. Later that year, Kenneth would return to Kentucky to work for the Shelbyville Police Department in Shelby County. Kenneth returned to LMPD in the summer of 2018 returning to the 6th Division.
